My Story
Hello! Welcome to my site! I am so happy you are here, thank you for visiting. I know you will enjoy what you find here! "Enjoy the scents and indulge in the 'Scentsibility' "~ My name is Annette, aka Nettie. I am a blessed single mother of 3 sons, 34, 30, and 13. (My youngest is with me in my silly profile picture) My oldest has made me a Gramm Gramm of an 8-year-old boy! :-) He is also a Navy Veteran and I am so proud of him and thankful for his service! My middle son currently lives in the cold of Alaska. I have lived a roller coaster life, as many have. I now call myself not only a survivor but a warrior! I have made many mistakes and unfortunately, I have hurt people I love in my past. I am thankful to those who have forgiven me, and I am proud of who I am today oxo I continue to improve each day to be the best me I can be. I am a recovering alcoholic and a follower of Jesus. I am always available to lend an ear, a prayer, and a hug, even if it's a cyber one! I really enjoy scents and truly love the sense of calm, relaxation, joy, and just plain happiness they can bring at any moment! That is the reason I chose 'smell the calm' as my website name. I used to be a candle lover, however in 2015 I found the Scentsy warmers, and after learning about how much safer they are (and the ability to mix scents) I became a Scentsy lover! My youngest loves to help me change our waxes, and he and his nephew both have their own warmers. A little bit more about myself... (this is always the difficult part isn't it *smile) I love the color purple, I am actually obsessed with it :-) I love going to the beach, that is one of my favorite places to be, besides with my family. I am an avid picture taker (it drives my kids crazy) I am determined. I have a big heart and enjoy seeing others smile, and finding and reaching their goals, and finding peace and happiness in themselves. I love to read with my son and enjoy kids! I joined this company because I want to be a stay-at-home mom one day again and provide for my family. I want to give back, or pay it forward in life more often and I believe with this company I will be able to do just that and more in time!
